Best MMO Mouse for Small Hands – Top 7 (Maximum Hotkeys, Minimum Size)

Introduction

We’ve talked about the best gaming mouse for small hands before, however, we’ve never specifically focused on which are the best for MMOs.

In this article, we’ll laser-focus our attention on which miniature mouses will best serve you in MMOs such as World of Warcraft, Final Fantasy XIV, and perhaps even the upcoming MMO, Ashes of Creation.

Most MMO gaming mice come with lots of hotkeys and buttons and this can sometimes make them bulky or large, however, there are a few select options which will fit the criteria for someone with small hands.

1. Logitech G600 – Most Budget-Friendly Small MMO Mouse

Tech Specs

1.6 x 2.9 x 4.6 inches, 4.69 Ounces, 8200 DPI, RGB Colors, 20 Buttons, Right-Handed

Our Thoughts

For the cost, the G600 is a perfect choice for any budding MMO gamer or for someone who plays RPG games where you’ll need access to a plethora of buttons.

It comes with up to 20 programmable buttons, including 12 dedicated side buttons for quick access too.

You can customize everything through the Logitech software meaning you can tailor the experience to exactly how you need it.

We’ve also noted the specific way in which the side buttons are positioned to enhance detection and to prevent accidentally pressing anything unintended.

Depending on your needs, you can also quickly adjust the sensitivity of the mouse with the DPI buttons behind the scroll wheel, though for an MMO we recommend assigning them as hotkeys instead as you shouldn’t really need to change the sensitivity.

In terms of design, it’s made for right-handed individuals, however, it’s also one of the smallest MMO mouse options available making it perfect for this list.

You’ll also be able to customize the look with the RGB color selection through the Logitech software meaning you can pick something that matches your rig.

Summary

A very cost-effective, well-thought-out small MMO mouse with everything you’ll need to have a good experience.

2. Redragon M901 – Cheap Small MMO Mouse (Chinese Branding)

Tech Specs

4.65 x 2.95 x 1.54 inches, 5.29 ounces, 12,400 DPI, RGB Colors, 19 Buttons, Right-Handed Ergonomic Design

Our Thoughts

If you don’t mind using a Chinese-branded mouse then you can net yourself a real bargain here with the M901 MMO mouse from Redragon.

In fact, of all the Chinese brands for gaming peripherals, Redragon is perhaps the most well known of them all and rightly so; they make good products.

Similar to Logitech’s G600, the M901 from Redragon features a familiar tactile side button design to help you discern which button you’re pressing which is great for improved accuracy.

It’s also rather small and includes adjustable weights for you to customize the feel of your mouse for preferred maneuverability.

They also give you a rather generous “up to” 12,400 DPI, however, this would be overkill for an MMO but could be useful if you play other game genres such as FPS.

In fact, Redragon probably intended for it to be a cross between the two, both an MMO mouse and an FPS mouse, and that’s because they included the “fire” button which will give you 3 clicks for the price of 1 — essentially a burst fire button for shooter games.

In terms of the design, it’s pretty overstated, however, we know some gamers prefer that and it also includes RGB lighting should you need to customize it.

Summary

Tons of features that are useful for an MMO, though a little overstated in terms of design and intent.

3. Razer Naga Trinity – Best All-Genre Small Mouse (Interchangeable Panels)

Tech Specs

4.69 x 2.93 x 1.69 inches, 4.16 ounces, 16,000 DPI, Up to 19 buttons, Full RGB Chroma 16.8m Colors, Right-Handed Ergonomic Design

Our Thoughts

If you love playing MMOs but also enjoy other game genres too then there’s no better choice than the Naga Trinity from Razer.

That’s because they give you an MMO side panel, a MOBA side panel, and even a side panel that would be suitable for FPS games which you can change out in seconds, all in a tiny form factor.

We think that this kind of flexibility makes sense especially since it’s quite likely you’ll have a Steam library building up with hundreds of different games that might require differing functionality from your mouse.

We’ve also noted, for the size, it’s also rather lightweight meaning it should provide a comfortable experience for even the longest gaming sessions.

Razer also provides you with a generous 2 year warranty in case of defects, and also certify their switches for up to 50 million clicks which means you shouldn’t have anything to worry about in the short term.

Lastly, we also noted the rather high DPI range and this is good because it means you have lots of control over how you want your gaming experience to be depending on the genre you’re playing.

Summary

A really sensible small mouse that provides you with a dedicated experience regardless of the game you’re playing with the interchangeable panels.

4. Logitech G300s – Best Ambidextrous Small MMO Mouse

Tech Specs

4.5 x 2.8 x 1.4 inches, 2.88 ounces, 2500 DPI, 9 Buttons, Ambidextrous Design

Our Thoughts

This is a really tiny mouse and it’s absolutely perfect for left-handers who need something with lots of extra keys for all their spells and abilities.

It doesn’t come with your traditional 12 side button setup as most MMO mouse options do, however, it’s probably one of the only ambidextrous mice with quite a few buttons meaning it’s still suitable for extra hotkeys (it’s very hard to find a left-handed MMO mouse).

We also note how cheap this mouse is; it’s really cheap and you can easily replace it without breaking the bank every few years with a fresh one.

We also love how lightweight it is making it perfect for anyone wanting to play long gaming sessions in relative comfort, or perhaps for those with wrist issues.

In terms of design, it’s not the most interesting looking mouse we’ve ever seen, however, we do appreciate the rubber grips on the side for added stability.

It doesn’t have any kind of back-lighting so if you’re wanting something similar to the G300s that lights up then we recommend the Corsair M55 RGB Pro instead (a little larger, so check the measurements).

Other than that, it’s a solid mouse for the price and comes with everything you need for a good MMO experience.

Summary

Cheap, great small mouse for left-handers, and gets the job done for all your MMO needs.

5. Corsair Scimitar Pro RGB – Best Premium-Feeling Small MMO Mouse

Check Prices Now

Tech Specs

4.75 x 3.04 x 1.67 inches, 4.32 ounces, 16,000 DPI, 15 Buttons, RGB, Right-Handed

Our Thoughts

If you want a mouse that feels as premium as it looks then the Corsair Scimitar Pro is a great choice and will serve you perfectly for playing MMOs.

It’s not the smallest mouse on the list but it’s certainly not close to being a big mouse either.

It’s also rather lightweight meaning it will remain maneuverable throughout the day to maintain comfort.

As with the majority of mouse options on this list, the Scimitar Pro comes with 12 side buttons and also features DPI buttons behind the scroll wheel that can be reassigned too.

The side buttons are also textured which gives it a premium feel, premium aesthetic, and will also help to increase tactile feedback too.

It also has a rather generous DPI range meaning it could be suitable for other game genres that you might branch out to play too.

In terms of the design, you’ll also be happy to know that it features RGB lighting around the front of the mouse and around the scroll wheel which can be customized to your preferences.

Overall, there’s very little to fault with this mouse and Corsair has yet again delivered a solid product.

Summary

A high-end, premium MMO mouse that comes in small proportions to suit your needs.

6. Razer Naga Pro Wireless – Best Small Wireless MMO Mouse

Check Prices Now

Tech Specs

2.94 x 1.7 x 4.68 inches, 4.02 ounces, 20,000 DPI, RGB Chroma, 19 Buttons, Right-Handed Ergonomic Design

Our Thoughts

The Razer Naga Pro Wireless, similar to it’s wired brother, the Razer Naga Trinity, comes with three interchangeable button plates meaning you have maximum versatility regardless of the game you’re playing.

It’s equally as small as the wired version and also weighs very little making it perfect for anyone with small hands who want a good MMO experience.

The only notable difference is that the 6 button plate on the wireless version is slightly different in design compared to the trinity version, however, we think it’s a better layout and makes it easier to feel the buttons you need to press.

Other than that, you’ll get a huge 20k DPI range with a powerful optical sensor meaning you’ll have extremely accurate tracking in-game; this is probably more important for FPS games but it’s still nice to have.

It also comes with Razer HyperSpeed technology meaning your wireless experience should be completely latency-free making it perfect for competitive gaming too.

We also love the general aesthetic and design of the mouse, especially since it’s focused on providing a top-notch ergonomic experience for any right-handed user.

You’ll also be happy to know that you get full access to 16.8 million color choices through the RGB Chroma toolkit in the Razer software meaning it can be tailored to exactly how you want it to look.

The only caveat is that it’s a little pricey, however, for a mouse packed with as many features as this one we think it’s very well worth it.

Summary

Packed with cool features and technology, this is a wireless MMO mouse that you won’t be replacing soon; it’s also small!

7. UtechSmart Venus Pro – Cheap Small Wireless MMO Mouse

Check Prices Now

Tech Specs

4.6 x 3 x 1.5 inches, 6 ounces, 16,000 DPI, 16 Buttons, RGB, Right-Handed Ergonomic Design

Our Thoughts

If you can’t spend as much money getting a Razer Naga Wireless, then you might want to consider this “off-brand” wireless MMO mouse, the UtechSmart Venus Pro which comes with many of the same features.

You’ll find a similar 12 button side panel design meaning you’ve got plenty of hotkey options, and you’ll also get dedicated adjustable DPI buttons behind the scroll wheel which can also be programmed.

As well as that, UtechSmart has promised a similarly latency-free experience with their super-fast 2.4GHz connection meaning this will be suitable in a competitive environment for even the most serious gamer.

With that said, you can also connect it up as a wired mouse if you prefer too.

We’ve also noted the long battery life as it will run for up to 70 hours on a charge before you need to plug it back in again which could be useful for laptop gamers or people who game on the go.

In terms of size, you’ll also be happy to know that it’s suitably small, similar to the Naga Wireless, though it’s a tad on the heavy side so bear that in mind.

For an off-brand mouse, we were also surprised to see that it comes with a dedicated software suite where you can customize things like the sensitivity and the RGB lighting, again, similar to Razer.

Lastly, it also comes with a generous DPI range which can go anywhere up to 16,000 depending on your needs and depending on the genre you’re playing.

Summary

An off-brand wireless mouse that offers many of the same features of more well-known branded mice and for half the price.
